Children’s Books and TV Shows – Weekly Writing #12

This week we started out getting to know more about the One Button Studio. I think I will use the studio this time around, because who doesn’t want 15 extra credit points. I think that the One Button Studio is a really cool way of helping to practice your presentation. That one tiny room is filled with so much technology. There’s a green screen and blue screen behind a podium. Giving you the option to display your slideshow. I’m not sure what the difference is between the two screens, but it is really cool. I’ve never been good with presentations so I think this will definitely help. For the rest of class on Tuesday we were given time to work on our upcoming final essay. I think I’ve narrowed down my topic, and now I am focusing on getting to perfect thesis statement.

Thursday was my favorite day of this week. We started off by reading children’s books. I thought to book were really cool, the way that the book tied letters into the story line. The second book was actually a book that I grew up with. It connected to home, not only in the way that It was read at my house, but I would color with my crayons until the day they turned into a little stub or broke. I never realized that letters are in so much until I took this class. You could probably connect a letter to anything. The second thing we took a look at in class was an episode of M.A.S.H. Which I also grew up on. Everytime I went to my grandparents house it was either football or M.A.S.H on the TV. So overall, this week really made me miss home, but luckily we have break next week.
